Founded in 1913, J. S. Archer Company, Inc. is an institution in Richmond. In keeping with our business plan of supplying a complete commercial and industrial door package to our end users, we are one of very few companies that have the ability to not only furnish and install doors, frames and hardware, but can include in our package, items such as toilet partitions, toilet accessories, marker boards, projector screens, fire extinguishers and cabinets, lockers and accessories for locker rooms. We take it even further and have included such specialty items such as blast resistant doors, traffic and impact doors, overhead doors, dock levelers, partition walls, right down to flag poles. This eliminates the need for our contractors/customers to coordinate with several trades and gives them the ease of dealing with one subcontractor for all their specialty needs. If you need it, with our extensive network of suppliers, we can provide and install it. FSC Certified products available on request only.
J. S. Archer Company adheres to a “total opening” concept in products and services. Whether you walk through it, drive through it, pass through it, swing it, lift it, slide it or lock it, you can rely on one company with 100 years of experience to make sure your commercial and industrial openings do what they are supposed to do.
In addition, with the move to our 35,500 square foot facility acquired in 2003, we are able to offer a Customer Service Center for quick ship and pick up of your commercial products. We have an enhanced inventory that allows us to meet the needs of our tenant upfit customers along with the contractor that needs his materials immediately.
While our company generally operates in central Virginia, we are licensed and do work in North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, West Virginia or wherever our customers need us to go. We have many contractors that we have been fortunate enough to follow to numerous states to either furnish and install work or supply a complete door and hardware package for their own installation crews.
